Ocean is a large Bristol based estate agency, with over 40 years experience working with different homes. They have a full service offering for prospective buyers and for people wanting to sell or let their property.
Feeling restricted by their previous CMS, Ocean were after a new site that would align with their aim of offering aspirational properties, and to stand out from the conventional estate market. They also needed more flexibility which would allow them to scale in the future, and have a site that could perform better and be more intuitive to navigate.
The Vision
Flexibility and aspiration; this was how Ocean wanted there new website to function and look stylistically. Looking through the site it was clear that in order to do this new bespoke components had to be created. This approach, in hope would allow Ocean to stand out from all the competitor sites while also allowing a degree of future proofing as well.
The outcome
Utalising the Umbraco CMS, to give them more control and flexibility with how they manage their site. We also refreshed their UI, doing an accessibility audit and crafted new bespoke components that could be used to create an editorial style site on an affordable budget.
